SundakAddress : Village Ngestirejo , Tanjungsari , Gunung KidulDescription :Formerly named Wedibedah beach ( sand split ) which later changed its name to Sundak derived from folk legend handed down from generation to generation . The story tells of a fierce fight between a dog population with a hedgehog on the shoreline until the entrance to the cave , which was won by the dog . The dog came out of the cave , biting hedgehog with soaking wet because the cave flooded. The cave is now called the cave Sundak . The water in the cave is a blessing for the residents because their previous experience dryness and difficulty in finding fresh water . Exciting scenery on the coast , has evolved with the evidence that can be traced geologically .Currently on the west side of the beach there is a mosque and the empty space used as a parking lot , while the east there is a cave rock formations with a height of 12 m which there are fresh water wells used by residents . In 1930 the area was still above the oceans which then shrinks and water juts into the sea due to geological processes . The water that flows into the sea during the rainy season , splitting the coastal plains east forming a river . But during the dry season , it disappeared along with parts of sea water carrying sand . Wedibedah ( sand split ) this is the origin of the name of this beach due to natural phenomena .
